An ex-Notre Dame Coach 1 Year ago Karma: 1
At the end of last season, there was a certain ex-Notre Dame football coach that implied WVU couldn’t win without Pat White. I believe the statement went something like, “ Pat White is a legend in WV. They’re going to have to replace him. They still talk about Major Harris.” The implication being that WVU was going to fall off the map without Patrick White.

Don’t get me wrong. Pat White is the greatest player to ever wear the Old Gold n Blue. Additionally, Major Harris deserves all the accolades he has received. My issue is, why would an ESPN analyst make such an obvious negative comment about WVU. The timing and the wording of the statement left no room for misinterpretation. Even Mark May, an ex-Pitt All American, felt the need to question the statement.

In closing, to a certain ex-Notre Dame coach, didn’t Notre Dame celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 1988 team last year? Of course, said celebration was warranted, as was WVU’s. Yet, I wonder which team is in a better position, to repeat their 1988 record.

And "Notre Lame" will be playing USC for the title this year . I pay no attention to the talking heads, sure they maybe a little more imformed than you or I but they have to keep interest up to keep their jobs ("and support their teams" no matter how crazy some of it sounds. Think of Brittanys' Cooter flash at the camera or all the nip slips in photos, its about keeping your name in the papers,tv,net.,etc. Without interest you have nothing ,no job ,no income, and no career. It's a shame everything's a soap opera now.
