WVU Football Signing Day Updates

MORGANTOWN -- West Virginia's football recruiting class took off this morning thanks to a commitment from one of the top uncommitted players on the Mountaineers' board.

 

Florida wide receiver Ivan McCartney announced at a ceremony at his high school that he would sign with West Virginia. His signed letter of intent arrived at the WVU football offices a short time later.

 
Ohio Basketball Star Robinson Commits to WVU

Ohio schoolboy basketball standout Jalen Robinson, of Columbus Northland High, has committed to play his college basketball at WVU.

According to Brian Snow of Rivals.com, the 6-7, 215-pound Robinson - still just a sophomore but already one of the top players in Ohio - has cast his lot with the Mountaineers and is expected to sign to play at WVU during his senior year. He will be considered part of WVU's 2012 recruiting class.

 
Talented WR Commit Leslie Making Recruiting Trip to Morgantown

MORGANTOWN - Quantavious Leslie is finally coming to Morgantown. After countless scheduled visits were nixed at the 11th hour, the Georgia wide receiver will get his first chance to travel down these country roads to the town he is prepared to spend his next four or five years in.

Leslie gave his commitment to the West Virginia University Mountaineers in July, and though he never backed out on his word, his path to WVU had its fair share of obstacles.
